Originally from the Chicago area, Ms. Brintnall studied Economics at the University of Notre Dame before moving to San Antonio to serve as a Teaching Fellow through Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education. She then joined the founding faculty of Great Hearts Northern Oaks where she developed a passion for classical education while serving as a teacher and later as an assistant headmaster. Most recently, she worked on the Great Hearts National Academic Team to help launch academies in new regions. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the founding of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School and excited for what the Lord has in store for this beautiful community!
Originally from El Paso, Mrs. Femath studied Philosophy and Psychology at St. Mary's University in San Antonio before beginning her educational career as a Teach for America Corps Member. With 14 years of experience in education, she most recently served as the International Baccalaureate program coordinator at Woodlawn Academy IB World School, where she led curriculum development and integrated character formation into student-centered learning. Her expertise spans Pre-K through 5th grade, with a focus on interdisciplinary and inquiry-based instruction. A parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church alongside her husband and their three children, Mrs. Femath is passionate about sharing the True, the Good, and the Beautiful found in God's creation!
Ms. Lizza grew up in Ohio where she attended Catholic schools and developed a deep appreciation for faith-based education. She earned her degree from Purdue University before settling in Boerne, Texas with her three children. Prior to joining St. Peter's, she dedicated three years to teaching at a Christian preschool, where she discovered her passion for nurturing young learners in a Christ-centered environment. Ms. Lizza is honored to serve as a founding teacher for our parish's new school and feels blessed to contribute to building this special ministry within our church community. She looks forward to creating a foundation of faith and learning for our Pre-K students!
Mr. Garcia lives in San Antonio with his wife, Grace and daughter Maria. He has two sons and a beautiful daughter-in-law who live in Mississippi and Georgia. Growing up in Edinburg, Texas, he attended St. Joseph Catholic School from kindergarten through 8th grade. He served as an altar boy for 8 years before learning the guitar and beginning his life-long vocation as a music minister. Mr. Garcia attended UT-Pan American before transferring to Our Lady of the Lake University and making San Antonio his home. After graduating with a degree in education, he spent most of his teaching career at Northside ISD as an elementary school music teacher. He also holds a Master’s in Psychology from OLLU. Having retired from NISD in May of 2025, Mr. Garcia is looking forward to serving as a founding teacher for our parish's new school.
Ms. Borja is right at home in the Archdiocese of San Antonio, having grown up and attended Catholic school in the area. Although she left Texas for a brief time to study Elementary Education at Benedictine College in Kansas, she is happy to be back in her home state. Ms. Borja has spent the last several summers working in a variety of youth ministry and childcare roles. This past spring, she completed her student teaching semester teaching Kindergarten at a Catholic school. Ms. Borja is honored to be in the founding staff of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School and is excited to be part of the school’s mission to provide a Catholic classical education.
Mrs. Barnes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Middle School Education and brings a wealth of experience across preschool, kindergarten, upper elementary, and middle school, giving her a well-rounded understanding of child development. She is passionate about early childhood education and is committed to creating a nurturing, structured environment where students feel safe, loved, confident, and inspired to learn. With a deep love for children and a drive to foster lifelong learners, Mrs. Barnes aims to spark curiosity, wonder, and joy in her classroom every day while supporting both the academic and personal growth of each child. Outside the classroom, she enjoys fitness and nutrition, cooking, traveling, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her two dogs, Max and Molli. Grateful and honored to join the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School community, Mrs. Barnes is excited to help build a joyful, Christ-centered environment where students can grow in faith, virtue, and academic excellence.
Mrs. Barrera holds a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Special Education. Originally from San Antonio, she began her teaching career in a NEISD elementary school, and has since taught high school math and science in Dallas and most recently Atlanta. She also spent five years in Diaconate Faith Formation classes with her husband, Deacon Carlos, where she earned her Master Catechesis Certificate. For the past year and a half, she has served as Development Associate for the capital campaign, helping raise funds for our new school. Married for 30 years, Mrs. Barrera has three grown children and a grandson. She enjoys time with family and friends, and volunteering at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Mrs. Barrera is passionate about Catholic education and nurturing curiosity in lifelong learners. She is grateful to be part of this faith-filled founding team.
A native Minnesotan, Mrs. Maria Kennedy graduated from the College of St. Benedict, MN, with a B.A. in Elementary Education and an Emphasis in Art. She is also a proud graduate of the Army ROTC program at St. John’s University, MN. Mrs. Kennedy spent six years in the Army Reserve while teaching full time. Of her 23 years in education, Mrs. Kennedy spent the last 14 years teaching first and second grade at The Atonement Catholic Academy. Mrs. Kennedy’s knowledge and background in classical Catholic education allowed her to develop an extensive curriculum for the Academy’s Lower School. Mrs. Kennedy has 4 grown children, and she is truly excited to bring her passion for Catholic education and her experience with teaching excellent curriculum to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School!
Mrs. Bartosh is a proud member of our parish and brings a deep commitment to serving others through her Catholic faith and professional calling as a nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University and began her nursing career in the United States Air Force. Over the years, she has worked in various clinical settings, most recently as the Clinical Director at a cosmetic surgery and med-spa where she oversaw patient care and safety. Mrs. Bartosh and her husband live in Boerne and have three children, two of whom will be attending St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School. As both a parent and nurse, she is passionate about creating a safe, caring environment where all students can thrive in mind, body, and spirit.
Fr. David Chacko is a native of San Antonio, Texas and a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. After 18 months of active-duty service in the US Army, he entered the priestly formation program at Assumption Seminary in San Antonio. Fr. David was ordained a priest in May 2023 and since then has served as the parochial vicar at St. Peter the Apostle parish in Boerne, Texas. He is excited to be part of the founding year of the new St. Peter’s school and looks forward to helping students grow in their love for learning and for the Lord!
Mrs. Aguero is excited to join the faculty at St. Peter the Apostle as a teacher. Born in Tennessee and raised in Virginia, she comes from a devoted military family, she is now a wife and proud mother of five. Teaching has always been close to her heart, and she truly feels called to nurture children academically, spiritually, and emotionally. She is passionate about helping each child grow in faith, confidence, and character. Rooted in love and guided by purpose, she strives to create a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired. She is honored—and so incredibly humbled—to be here and looks forward to growing alongside this beautiful school community.
Fr. Norman A. Ermis has been serving as a priest of the Archdiocese of San Antonio for almost 42 years, almost 12 of those years as St. Peter’s Pastor. A native of Weimar, Texas, he was shaped and formed through Catholic schools and universities for sixteen and a half years. Grateful for the initial “seed money” donation from Clarence & Tina Kahlig of the Kahlig Auto Group, Fr. Norm considers it a great privilege to be Pastor during this exciting period of building the first Catholic school in Boerne, the first built in the Archdiocese in the past 30 years! While he anticipates his retirement, Fr. Norm first wants to see the school built and established, and intends to leave the parish and school on solid footing for the future.
Mrs. Brown is honored to join the team at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School as the Preschool Instructional Assistant. Her passion for working with young children has grown over the past six years during her time at a Christian school, and she’s excited to now serve the families of our parish in this new role. Mrs. Brown holds a bachelor's degree in Business from Texas State University, and while her academic background is in business, her heart has always been drawn to education, faith, and helping children grow in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. She and her husband have lived in Boerne for 24 years, where they raised three sons. Being a part of this community and parish has been a great blessing, and she’s thrilled to be part of this new chapter as our church opens its school. Mrs. Brown looks forward to supporting our teachers, loving our littlest learners, and helping build a joyful foundation for their spiritual and educational journeys.
Mrs. Osterman is excited to bring her enthusiasm for education and Christ-centered learning to the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School community. Having worked in various preschool settings to create nurturing, Christ-centered environments, she is deeply passionate about fostering both academic and personal growth in faith-filled classroom and is committed to ensuring that children feel valued, confident, and inspired. Outside the classroom, she enjoys playing the violin and trombone, hiking, skiing, biking, tennis, and watercolor painting. She loves to travel and has hiked through the South Island of New Zealand and skied in the breathtaking mountains of British Columbia. She and her husband, Allan, have been married for 31 years and enjoy spending time with their four children: Elana (24), Erika (22), Joshua (22), and Jordan (16).
Originally from Serbia, Mrs. Stojakovic moved to the United States 21 years ago. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and brings a rich background in education, having taught English to students ranging from kindergarteners to adults. Her diverse teaching experience has helped her develop a dynamic and nurturing approach to the classroom. While living in Connecticut, she worked as a Parent Educator as she lead playgroups for preschoolers and provided parents with guidance on child development, practical parenting strategies, and connections to local resources. After relocating to Boerne 10 years ago, she spent the past seven years teaching at a Christian preschool which deepened her commitment to faith-based early childhood education. She feels truly blessed to be one of the founding teachers at our parish’s new school and looks forward to helping preschoolers grow in faith, character, and joy. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two boys. Her favorite pastimes include hiking, cooking, and gardening.
