Students will learn how to live a moral, kind, and virtuous life both in and out of the classroom. They will read stories about heroes and saints who acted with courage, love, and honesty. They will discuss what it means to do the right thing even when it’s difficult. Goodness is taught through conversations about serving others and following Christ’s teachings.
Students will learn when we encounter real beauty, we naturally respond by lifting our mind and heart to God. Students will study beautiful art and music, read inspiring literature and spend time in nature. Students will also learn to draw and paint, recite poetry and make music. They will discover beauty is a gift from God that helps us see the goodness in the world.
Students will learn that seeking the truth means trying to understand the world as God created it. Important truths about God and His creation will be revealed as they study subjects like science, history and math. For example, math shows the order and structure of the world. Students will also learn the truths of our faith revealed to us through Scripture & Tradition.
At St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School, we believe education should be a joyful journey of discovery that ignites students’ natural curiosity and equips them to pursue goodness, truth and beauty.
